Riding the Amtrak Zephyr from Emeryville to Chicago, three days and two nights. I stared out the window and took pictures, 1,200 at least. The window of the compartment seemed like a frame for a vision of America, but it is impossible to see the window and the landscape at the same time. I used a defective halftone process to make this obvious.
